Week 3 - Post 3 Guide

Like you have in previous weeks, use this post to talk about what you discussed in class and about the clips you watched. You can use some of the questions that were used for discussion purposes in your small group as a basis for what you want to say. Other questions such as these below may also help you write about what you wish to say:

- What were the stolen generations?
- How did you feel hearing about Frank's story?
- Why do you think Australia had policies that allowed for the removal of Aboriginal children from their families?
- Even though this is a tragic story, why do you think it is important that these stories be told?
- Do you think the people that made and enforced the laws, such as the politicians and police thought they were possibly doing something good?
- What can we learn from this story?
- Has hearing this story affected your perception of relations between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australians?

You can also supplement your writing by adding a photo that supports your writing, a screen shot for example, or otherwise embed a video or add a link to a web page that has some relevant information regarding the topic of 'Indigenous Australia'. Do add something that shows you have been learning!

I have embedded a video that has some relation to the topic of the stolen generations below.
